Testing for specific allergies helps us pinpoint the cause of discomfort. Testing is done by an allergist and is safe for both children and adults.

A skin test is a common allergy test. It is accurate, safe, and minimally invasive. Blood tests are an option when skin testing is not.

LOCAL ANESTHETIC TEST =

Hypersensitivity to local anesthetics is rare but could be diagnosed through allergy testing. During the test, we lightly prick the skin on the arm with a plastic applicator that contains a tiny amount of anesthesia.

VENOM TEST =

Venom skin testing is the preferred method for determining allergies to insect stings. Our board-certified allergists will prick the skin on the arm with an applicator containing a small amount of extracted venom from the insect.
