Dr. Neustrom has had allergies since childhood, and had anaphylaxis while baling hay in high school. His personal experience of having allergies led him to pursue a career in allergy and immunology.

Dr. Neustrom enjoys working with patients to improve quality of life that may be diminished by allergies and asthma. He has special interests in hereditary angioedema, primary immune deficiency diseases, and oral immunotherapy for food allergy.

When he’s not working, Dr. Neustrom enjoys reading and exercising. He plays the cello, and can often be found at Kansas City Symphony concerts. He and his wife Mary and son Danny are big fans of the Iowa State Cyclones.
